Course Overview

Amritsar Group of Colleges has proposed the Amritsar Law College (ALC). Amritsar Law College is approved by Bar Council of India (BCI) and is affiliated to the Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar, Punjab. At ALC, one of our degrees i.e. BA LLB (or Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Legislative Law) is an undergraduate Administrative Law professional integrated course. The duration of BA LLB course is 5 years which is divided into 10 semesters in total. The course is a combination of the study of Law and Arts. This integrated bachelor degree consists of disciplines such as political science, sociology, Economics and English as minor areas of study to supplement the wide range of law subjects such as public international law, intellectual property law, and constitutional law. It is called an Integrated Course because BA LLB course syllabus involves the study of Commerce and business administration etc. along with the in-depth study of law and legislature. Admission Process

The applicants looking for admission in a BA LLB must register for AGC NEST 2020.

Eligibility Criteria:

As per GNDU guidelines, a candidate must have cleared 10+2 examination from Punjab School Education Board or any other equivalent examination (such as 11+1, ―A‖ level in Senior School leaving certificate course) from a recognized University of India or outside or from a Senior Secondary Board or equivalent institution from a foreign country securing not less than 50% marks in case of general category applicants and 45% of the total marks in case of SC/ST applicants. The applicant who have obtained 10+2 or equivalent through open Universities system directly without having any basic qualification for pursuing such studies are not eligible for admission in the law course. The maximum age limit for the applicants for admission will be as decided by the Bar Council of India and approved by the syndicate from time to time.
